When it comes to spirituality everyone bets their life on something.  Some say there is such a thing as eternal life.  Some say there is no such thing and live their lives accordingly.  They do not concern themselves with matters that pertain to eternal life.  Some, while agreeing that there is such a thing as eternal life remain unconcerned reasoning that the eternal forces will be in complete agreement with them.  All these various groups of people are betting that their beliefs will prove correct in the end.

In the religious world, even among those who have some concern or interest in matters concerning eternal life some are betting their eternal life on some set of inferences that at one time might have been based on the Bible but over the years have evolved into something entirely different.  Can such individuals have any confidence in what they are doing?  Does the Bible actually offer us something we can place our confidence in?  I have discussed in previous posts how the information contained in the Bible was put there in such a way that it could only have been done by God.  Each individual must investigate this matter and educate him or herself in order that their confidence may rest firmly on the information that comes from the only source that can speak with authority on eternal matters.  Then you have something to bet your life on.

We learn from the Bible that there is such a thing as eternal life and we also learn that we need to be concerned in this life how we will be in that life.  One of the reasons some remain unconcerned about this is that they are not sufficiently familiar with the information contained in the Bible.  If the Bible is carefully examined with an open mind, forgetting all the disinformation being constantly presented, then you can find out what you need to know about eternal life and have the kind of confidence you can bet your life on.  You bet your life.
